Her vocals surge with sensitive phrasing and tonal nuances. Her songwriting and musical arrangements are a further projection of her talents. Jane has a circle of established jazz musicians that she works with in the Los Angeles area. ......Jane credits her father's love of traditional and folk musical styles as having a powerful effect on her from an early age. During the ensuing years she studied music extensively and explored various styles such as Latin, Rock, Jazz, Blues and Classical. Jane has college degrees from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the University of California at Santa Cruz. She uses this background in her performance techniques and lyric writing. She prefers lyrics that are simple and direct, with strong adherence to traditional song forms. Her influences include Ernestine Anderson, Eva Cassidy, and Diana Krall to name only a very few.
